An estimated P500 million worth of donations in the form of infrastructure materials, furniture, computers and additional books were generated by the Department of Education (DepEd) for the 70 Library Hubs all throughout the country.

About 500 librarians from Southeast Asian countries gathered in Yogyakarta to discuss about mobile libraries on November 10-12. The seminar is a project jointly initiated by Indonesian Librarians Union and the National Library of Indonesia approved by the Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians as a CONSAL regional project.

The 14th Executive Board of the Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians (CONSAL) has officially appointed Dr. Nguyen Huy Chuong new CONSAL Secretary-General to replace Ms. Ha Ngoc Le who resigned from the position in September for personal reasons.
