Librarians managers from National Library of Vietnam A group of directors of the National Library of Vietnam's departments headed by its newly appointed Director General Phan Thi Kim Dung paid an official visit to Library November 14-17.

During their visit, the Vietnamese librarians met with their Singapore counterparts at the National Library of Singapore and had a study tour to the NLB's Reference Library, the Library @Esplanade, Judong Public Library and Nanyang University of Technology Library.

The delegation discussed with their Singapore colleauges a wide range of issues including library marketing, customer service, collection management, materials processing, preservation and organization of events.

The NLV's leadership expected that through this visit to the country having the most advanced libraries in the region, the NLV's senior managers would have new visions for the NLV as well as for their respective departments in the future as Vietnam continue to develop and integrate deeper into the region and the world.
