LibraryLink, a one-stop resource center for Filipiniana resources, held their first LibraryLink Conference: Be connected to go forward! at the Reading room of Filippinas Heritage Library on August 21-22, 2008 for LibraryLink members to learn more about their profession and to plan the future of LibraryLink.

The objectives of the Conference were to touch base with library professionals and the many members of LibraryLink, learn more of its original vision and goals, and contribute to its growth and development; to be informed of R.A. 9246 and the salient provisions that will affect all librarians; to learn how to re-invent the image of a Librarian, and to know more about the value and role of libraries in the growth and progress of nations, schools, and/or corporations.

LibraryLink (http://www.librarylink.org.ph/) is a one-stop resource center for Filipiniana resources. It aims to provide one search engine or point of entry for researchers and students who are doing research on Filipiniana. LibraryLink provides a venue for interaction among researchers, library professionals, people from the publishing industry and the academe.
